Dame Julia Cleverdon, Special Adviser to The Prince's Charities
Dame Julia Cleverdon has recently been appointed by HRH, The Prince of Wales, as a Special Adviser to The Prince's Charities with particular emphasis on the importance of the role of responsible business. Julia is also a Vice President of Business in the Community, a unique movement of 800 companies across the UK committed to continually improving their positive impact on society.

Julia was Chief Executive of Business in the Community for 16 years, from 1992 to 2008. During that time - the collective activities of Business in the Community have greatly expanded to impact across local communities, support positive environmental activity, promote diversity and best practice in the workplace and encourage ethical operations in the wider marketplace.

Julia has recently led, on behalf of the Prime Minister, a review on how education-business partnerships can contribute to educational excellence and is a member of the Talent and Enterprise Taskforce Advisory Group. Julia also chairs Teach First, whose mission is to address educational disadvantage by transforming exceptional graduates into effective, inspirational teachers and leaders in all fields.

Julia is a Governor of Henley Management College and is a patron of both the Helena Kennedy Bursary scheme and Volunteer Reading Help and an Ambassador for the World Wildlife Fund. Julia has a Cambridge degree and also has honorary degrees from the University of Warwick and Harper Adams University.

Kevin Conrad, Executive Director, Coalition for Rainforest Nations
Kevin Conrad is Executive Director of the Coalition for Rainforest Nations. Presently on faculty at the School for International and Public Affairs at Columbia University, Mr. Conrad has advised governments on sustainable development, economic reform, and investment incentive programs. He also has extensive business investment and operational experience within developing nations.

Polly Courtice, Director of the University of Cambridge Programme for Industry
Polly is Director of the University of Cambridge Programme for Industry. She is also Co-Director and Chief Executive of both The Prince of Wales's Business & the Environment Programme and the Prince of Wales's Corporate Leaders Group on Climate Change. She is a member of the University's Council for Lifelong Learning and serves on the Board of the Institute for Continuing Education and the Council of The School of Technology. She is also Academic Director of Cambridge University's Post-Graduate Certificate in Sustainable Business.

Polly is a Director of Jupiter Green Investment Trust and chairs Anglian Water's Advisory Group on Climate Change and Economic Growth. In 2007 she was appointed by Al Gore to run his Climate Project in the UK, helping leaders deepen their understanding of climate change and explore appropriate action.

Kristalina Georgieva, Vice-President, World Bank
Kristalina Georgieva has worked with the World Bank since 1993, and assumed responsibilities for strategy and operations in the World Bank Sustainable Development Network in 2007. As Director for Environment from 2000-2004, she led the preparation of the first World Bank environmental strategy and oversaw a portfolio of over $11 billion in environmental lending.

Steve Howard, Chief Executive, The Climate Group
Steve Howard is the CEO of The Climate Group which he co-founded in 2003. He is a member of the World Economic Forum's Carbon Standards Disclosure Board and an Advisor to the Virgin Earth Challenge

Bill Lockyer, State Treasurer of California
A graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, Lockyer earned his law degree from McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento while serving in the State Senate. He also received a teaching credential from California State University, Hayward. Lockyer served for 25 years in the California Legislature, culminating his Capitol career with a stint as Senate President pro Tempore. From 1999-2006, Lockyer served as California Attorney General. Bill Lockyer has been 32nd State Treasurer of California since 2006.

Lord Stern
Lord Stern is IG Patel Professor of Economics and Government, at the London School of Economics, where he also heads the India Observatory within the LSE's Asia Research Centre, and will be Chairman of the new Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment (announced in April 2008).

He was adviser to the UK Government on the Economics of Climate Change and Development and Head of the Stern Review on the Economics of Climate Change (2005-2997). He was also Head of the Government Economic Service, 2003-2007; Second Permanent Secretary to Her Majesty's Treasury, 2003-2005; and, Director of Policy and Research for the Prime Minister's Commission for Africa, 2004-2005. Previously, he was World Bank Chief Economist and Senior Vice President, Development Economics (2000-2003) and Chief Economist and Special Counsellor to the President at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (1994-1999). He was knighted for 'services to economics' in June 2004; his cross-bench non-party political peerage was announced in October 2007, and he was 'introduced' to the House of Lords in December 2007.
